Farm Mutual Foundation
Scholarship Program
FMRP is proud to be the sponsor of the Farm Mutual Foundation (FMF), which is now operational. The FMF has been incorporated under the Canada Corporations Act as a non-profit organization which will, in general terms, provide scholarships to students whose parents or guardians are employed within the "Farm Mutual" system. The FMF will appeal to those individuals who work within the Mutual system who have sons or daughters who are currently or will soon be enrolled in post secondary educational institutions. By way of a funding formula, FMRP will contribute annually to the FMF based on the average pre-tax earnings of the previous three years.
Students will be asked to complete an application form made available through the Scholarship Application form. For the 2010-2011 school term, a brief essay (750-1000 words) must be included with the application which answers, “If you were the CEO of a Mutual Insurance Company, how would you communicate with young consumers like yourself?” The scholarship amount has been set at $1,000.
Rules and conditions are outlined in the application form. All applications must be signed by the manager of the affiliate organization.
